Hi and welcome to my world of jewelry! I will begin by saying, I love rocks! Simply put, it's how my journey of creating wearable art began. Growing up, my family traveled all over the country, exploring new and different places. While everyone collected tee shirts, spoons and other Knick knacks I collected rocks, bright colorful rocks. I didn't know much about them other than they were pretty and everywhere! It wasn't until later in life did I realize all the different types of rocks and beads there were and what I could create with them. It took me a while, raising my children and traveling as a Military spouse, but I finally settled down and began creating wearable art using all the beautiful stones.

After attending classes at the Gemological Institute of America, a.k.a. GIA, and getting my Accredited Jewelry Professional Certificate, my world of creating jewelry opened to numerous avenues of design. My love of the Southwest combined with turquoise and leather inspired me to begin the path of free-spirited and casual design.

Now, in case you're wondering where the name came from, I've had a number of shop names; each supporting a meaning for particular designs. One that stems from my love of the beach, another that shares the milestones during my journey while creating jewelry and then there is The Turquoise Feather. Now turquoise, my favorite gemstone, is a stone that provides comfort for the spirit as well as strength through ones adventures in life. A feather, expresses the power of the universe. Rather vast, but from my point of view, I see it as a giving strength towards endless possibilities. And that's how I see jewelry design!
